… aerobic fitness is slow to build and slow to retreat but anaerobic fitness is comparatively very fast to build and very fast to retreat.  - Nate Jenkins

AM – slow to rise again this AM but I got out with Lucy the dog for 3 miles.  She is doing pretty well for 10 year old dog.  Her joy for these jogs is off the charts and I just enjoy watching that. Super easy and slow this AM, but I was feeling the load of the last few days and was just a bit creaky this morning.

PRing in the marathon at 50 as a goal.  Impressive.

I am guessing I probably had around 75 alcoholic drinks in the month of December.  And the last one I had was December 23.  There were some days where I had many (Solstice was at least 7 pints, which is like 10 regular beers) and then other days where it was probably none.  But it was a lot in that period.  And so I have been on a bit of a break since then.  I am not saying I have to be 100% “dry” because if TZ wants to go out for a brew, I will do that. But I can see I fall into the habit of if I have one, I will probably have two.  And probably three. It is often better not to have the one potato chip so to speak, but “you can’t just have one.”   And while one or two brews probably don’t do much for my general health and fitness, 75 in that period of time is certainly not a good idea.

Afternoon – an easy 6.5 while yapping with AW.

I guess folks are getting word as to if they made it in Pb today or not.  As I did not put in, I got no word.  And I am good with that.
