Saturday 101114

AM – 9.4 as the family awoke.  Slow start today.  I didn’t get out of the rack until 7:30.

Doesn’t look like it but it is a long escalator down to the Picadilly Line. IMG_2371IMG_2368
We hit a wool shop outside of Picadilly Circus where TZ got some of the local flavor.IMG_2370

The freaking actual Rosetta Stone.IMG_2377IMG_2379
There are donkeys everywhere in history.  This piece is from 2400 BC.IMG_2385

It was another museum of mind boggling proportions and history.  Parts of the Parthenon.  Egyptian crypts.  Mesopotamia.  Romans.  Greeks.  Celts.  The dynasties of China.  Crazy.IMG_2394IMG_2396 IMG_2398IMG_2401
I spent a fair amount of time in the clock room, covering from early clocks to modern clocks.

Another day buzzing around, museums, shops, Trafalgar Square and the like.  Wow.

  1. That's gotta be a great museum. Plus, donkey art.

I can't believe so much of the Egyptian text is missing from the top of the stone. At least the bottom part was there for comparison.

    1. It is one of those museums that you can spend weeks in and not see everything.
