thanks, man! so 26k ft. in about 12 hours for the inclinathon. that means 52,000 ft in 24 hours, or more than 15, 757m. it seems like the incline might be a good spot to reset that WR.
That world record...wondering if it was done on a treadmill. In order to put that kind of vert in, you have to have not only a steep and clean ascent, but a short descent to go with it.
The record for the greatest vertical height ascended by climbing stairs is 18,585 m (60,974 ft 4 in) and was set by Kurt Hess (Switzerland) who climbed the 45 m Esterli Tower in Lenzburg, Switzerland, and descended by foot 413 times on 5-6 October 2007.
From the old FSA web site: 17,575 m and 17,850 m. According to this page, the 17,575 was set using a charlift for the descent. I'm guessing the same for the other number.
Skier Greg Hill's web site states that he climbed and skied "a World Record of 50 100 ft in 24 hours.(no longer the record)"
