AM – hooked up with Justin and Mike and did a short jaunt up Audobon, a 13er on the western edge of Boulder County. A few shots from the summit …
Looking easty, that is actually Bear, SoBo and Green in the distance.
Looking north, as Justin and Mike come over the summit (the only reason I got there before them is they missed the turn up).
Looking north.
Guys who can get up early.
I didn’t feel great up high at first, but it seemed to get to be about the same – not progressively worse during the climb. Never looked to kill or push this one but be steady. 8 miles (although the GPS has it at 7.7, I will take this day as one of those where I round up, since I usually at one percent to all my other runs).
The ride home was a bit eventful – we were held up in Left Hand for a helicopter evac of a biker who had a heart attack.
Stoked for Tim W.
Excellent pre Sierre Zanal interviews over on RunColo.
Glad you had a good time and good company. I wanted to go but need to stick with my taper thingy. Let's definitely meet fir an easy hour this week. You tell me when and where.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the run and suggestion, great to see you guys and chat a bit!
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting ride back, wow! Hope the rider is OK (I'm assuming a good chance they were on the charity ride)...
I was very tempted, even though I would have trailed behind! I've even been rising earlier lately ;) Looks fun. Anyway, taking a bit of a break right now.
ReplyDeleteTim - absolutely. It might be our last one for a while, eh?
ReplyDeleteMike thanks for coming out. Yeah - still wondering on that rider if he would have been better off if bolted over to BCH versus the wait for a chopper.
Mtnrunner2 - totally saw that you are chillaxing for a bit. All cool.
